Did you know?

Just now I have arrived at the end of myself: my strength, my abilities, my understanding. I am empty. Come and fill me, Lord Jesus. You have surely held my hand as I struggled through troubled waters and sheltered me through the raging fires. I have stumbled, but I did not fall headlong because You are holding me by your righteous right hand. You are faithful even when I am not. You know me. You gave to me a new heart. You love me!

See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands (Isaiah 49:16).

You Showed the Way

We know, Lord, how gently you treated friends and even strangers who asked for mercy and truth.

We also know, Lord, of your anger toward those hypocrites who twisted the truth for their own selfish motives.

Thank you Lord, that you see our hearts and know our innermost thoughts- and still You love us .That in your mercy toward us, you accept our infantile efforts to grope through the darkness searching for your light, your guidance. And you - You do not hide from us. You encourage us to stretch our faith, increase our love toward each other., and learn to Love You Best.

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6).

Sufficient Grace

I have been abandoned and abused, but I am not alone.
I have sinned, but I am not condemned.
I have repeatedly failed, but, praise the Lord, I am not defeated.
I have been broken, but only to fulfill God’s purpose in me.

I can forgive because I have been forgiven.
I can smile because I have hope.
I can sing because I have faith.
I can embrace others because I am loved.

Jesus, who is the lover of my soul, is my constant companion
And the one who provides all the things that I need.
He is also my advocate before the Father.
His grace is sufficient for me.

Pelicans

We have such strong desire to be connected to others. We want to be acknowledged as important. Look at all the cell phones, emails, facebook, twitter, etc. When this natural desire is thwarted, some even turn to crime; even that is a kind of recognition. Dear ones, do you know that God is always with you, everywhere, all the time? His eyes are upon you, and he knows you by name.

"See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands." (Isaiah 49:16 NRSV)
