Rivers

Out of the hearts of believers flow rivers of living water. Not unlike the river flowing from the throne of God, the water nourishes and refreshes those who come near. Spiritual food and drink are supplied in the water. Without natural water, humans die. Without God, the human spirit never lives.

Jeremiah 17:8 - For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.  John 7:38 - He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Wind, Water and Fire

Power

Irresistible, unharnessed, unending- these words might describe the powerful waves of the ocean breaking upon the shore. God is like that. His holiness is so perfect in its power. Creator of the universe, He holds it all together, harnessed to His thoughts. Eternal is the kingdom of love and joy that He has prepared for all who love and believe in Him.

Look Up

December 2009

With a brief look back at the past as in a reflection, we must now look up and embrace the present reality. God knows both our past and our future, and He loves us with a steadfast love. He is not a mere reflection of the truth, Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. John 14:6
