Cut Away

O Lord, circumcise my heart! From it come thoughts from you and other thoughts not from you. It is only you, Holy Spirit, who can discern what is needed. Remove that which is evil in your sight. Allow my heart to rest in you, unafraid of past guilt, present surroundings, or future challenges.

Isaiah 30:15 - …In returning (to the Lord) and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.

After a dip in the briny ocean and lounging on the scorching sand, I come up to the condo’s outside shower. Standing under the cool water, I feel cleansed and refreshed. After we have been in the stressful situations of life, we may come to the Lord and the washing of His Word for cleansing and refreshing.

Psalm 51:10 - Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me.

Matthew 6:33-34 - "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil therof."

All of us believe that the sun will come up tomorrow and that spring will follow winter. We plant a seed and believe that the flower will come forth. When we hear of Jesus, the Christ, we are free to believe or not believe. I choose to believe; therefore, I bloom for God.

John 6:29 - This is the work of God, that you believe in Jesus whom He has sent.
